Has anyone tried/seen Nerex2 yet?

Nerex is New England's version of Tenex. Nerex was recently redesigned (hence the 2 after it).

Just curious how this new incarnation stacks up to Tenex...

I'll bet it's a '2 carrier' version of Nerex.
If it is, it has 2 carriers instead of Nerex's 1 carrier. Like 'tenex' and 'tenex tech'.

Just a thought!

Good call, Norm. That's exactly what it is according to NER.

We are going to make a few slings with it and see how it fares in comparison.

I prefer Yalex. Too bad it's not as readily available for the average tree guy.

Personally I think all three of these ropes are woven too loosely for treework. They are woven more for breaking strength. I prefer durability.

I like Yalex better too, it's softer. I know it's not rated for heat like aramids and it wears fast but it sure does make a sweet Blakes or Michoacan hitch.

I use it for making loopies.
