ms 362 fuel tank

I need to replace the fuel tank on my ms 361. Its broken right at the handle mount on the outside of the saw so jb weld and the likes won't hold..I've tried. So I found an aftermarket tank for 40 bucks on amazon. My question is has anyone done the swap? Or a saw similar? How hard is it or should I just bring the parts to a saw shop and cough up the cash?

I haven't worked on many saws, but when I have I've found it to be pretty easy. Just go slow and steady. Take pictures along the way helps a ton. You can find a shop manual/parts diagram online. Or PM me your email and I'll send it to you.

I dropped my MS362 and broke the fuel tank. I ended up going on ebay and finding a used one because they wanted an arm and a leg for a new one. It was pretty simple if I remember to replace. There is a black cover over the handle that needs to come off to change it out. Under the cover is the linkage from the throttle to the carb. Also I bought a MS311 handle if I remember correctly... So there are a few models that will fit if you end up going the ebay route, contact stihl for fitment.
