Most Dangerous Trees to Climb

What's everyones opinion of the most dangerous (unpredictable) trees to climb. Obvious hazards excluded. Here Cottonwood, Silver Maple and Siberian Elm seem to be at the top. I know of one company that will not climb Silver Maples under any condition.

Ive been having some really nasty tulip poplars lately.
Silver maples can be unpredictable, but to not climb them at all???! Anticipation and preparation and training take a large part of the risk out of the equation. To turn down work is rare unless I am pretty sure I'm going to get hurt bad. Even then...if the price is right, a solution can be found.

Thats excessive. I actually like climbing Silver Maples (well some of them). Obviously you can't trust a TIP as small as on an Oak, but thats the importance of knowing species and their characteristics.

Cottonwood, Catulpa, Corkscrew willows. I dislike climbing black locust. They always have a sinister "if you climb me I'll kill you" look. Unfounded, but I'd still rather work them from a bucket. No problem with silvers. There's so many around here I guess I'm used to them.

Craetagus monogyna (hawthorn) is nasty

Most fragile... Liriodendron tulipifera (Tulip Poplar)

Most twigs in the eye... Quercus phellos (Willow Oak)

Scariest... dead Pinus echinata (Short leaf pine)... come to that, any dead tree.

Worst personal injury... Celtis occidentalis (Hackberry)... but that was my fault.

Around here dead Red Alder are usually no-climbs.

Cottonless Cottonwoods combine weak wood with a slinky stinky structure.Dead Ailanthus inspires sphincter spasms.
