That's a nice little chipper.

Looks like you bought a Woodsman, you'll like it.

brendonv, I laughed a little when I saw you chime in on this thread... you had quite a bit of influence on my new found debt. I can't decide if I'm going to send a couple of my nut job buddies that don't ask questions up your way from Merrick, Long Island or a six pack of Sam Adams and a steak of your choice. I'm kiddin'.. I am stoked though and do appreciate your's and other's insight on the 12" family of chippers out there; so a sincere thanks.

PS. this was taken right after church, I'm usually not this pretty; but most importantly, my 4 year boy just tied a pretty good running bowline to the frig handle... we got to work on the ole tie, dress and set thing.

Ha, that's funny.

It's a good little chipper, pro's and con's of every brand, but I find more pro's than con's with the Woodsman. Good luck with it, mines in the garage now for a wax job, knife change, and probably an oil change.

Love my 18X Woodsman!
In the shop now for new clutch 1600 hrs.
I wash it - no waxing the woodsman here

Picked up my 2005 Woodsman 18X from mechanic today...

The new clutch did not go as easy as hoped. The spindle / shaft was damaged. Sent to machine shop to weld, patch, and balance.

$1,500 parts - $1,500 labor. A well spent $3k but - ouch!

Back to work!
