We had this nice contract this week , 2 days at the same location . Most part of the job was pruning some nice old sugars maples and reds oaks with the installation of syntetics cabling . But we also got to remove this nice red oak , he had cavity all over the crown an also a big rotten cavity at the base. The backyard was landfill 20 years ago , and they have put an average of 4 feets of dirt over the yard. The tree had a small opening for his trunk surround by rocks , but it's crazy how he has survive to this brutal treatment for years!! We had to cable most of the tree ( Greengrass fanatic, spinklers) and I had to climb above the large cavity of the central leader (15' over) to reduce it with my handsaw before sending it... not fun. Anyway nothing crazy here, just a small video about those nices days of spring. I hope you enjoy.

Yeah, I was suppose to prune the tree actually , and I have setup my cable with my trowline , way over the cavity , that was not visible from the ground....During the ascent the plan change a bit.

We spend 2 days climbing and removing dead and decaying tree from a large property last week. This one was ready to go , I had the big Widowmaker over my head and I was also really concern with my teamates on the ground being hit by this f..... Not the best video in the world but.... It was a fun day to climb.
