Congrats to Rob and Rebecca, it sure was a great day for climbing trees.

Thanks to George and Lynn and all the judges and volunteers for making this happen.

I have a special thanks to TL, Norm, Fresco Rob and Vermeer Russ, thanks to all my fellow climbers for trying their best, and especially thanks to the poor abused Oaks of Cherokee Park - may they recover and thrive long after we're all just dust in the wind.

Raven, your AR was excellent. I heard many comments on how thorough you were. Rob, congrats to you and good luck at the ITCC. I had so much fun and met many new arborists. Can't wait to compete again next year.

It's a boy! born the evening of the comp. 7#5oz, Cole Jacob. It was hard not thinking of the climbing championship, but my wife reminded me of where I was with her crushing white knuckle grips

congrats to rob, rebecca and all my fellow comrads. Glen (murse)

Hats off to George and Lynn, excellent job of organizing the comp. I had alot of fun. The day went by amazingly fast.

Thanks Taylor for introducing yourself.

I waited for Mr. Segway to drive around the block to 'lead' the way to George and Lynn's, but he must have forgot and I didn't have anyone's cell phone #. Next year!

Congrats to Rebecca and Rob. See ya in Honolulu.

Raven, you were sooooooo close......til ya got to the ground.

I will definitely be back next year...If I am invited.

How'd it go TL, Are you now addicted for many years to come?
I'd like to use your "first timer" quote in the Ky news letter as a recruiting tool. If your not comfy with that That's cool also.

Roger,

Sure, you can quote whatever you like. I placed 6th overall and took 2nd place in Aerial Rescue. Footlock was 22.5 sec. Not sure how I did in the others... maybe 5th or 6th in Work Climb. I am so jazzed-up. It was great to get my feet wet with top shelf arborists.

Great to meet you Norm, see you again soon.

Congratulations Glen!

Well Mr. Hamel,
With marks like that, You've definately gained my respect. great footlock time by the way. Thanks for your permission. Also, just the fact that your hooked on the buzz makes you a top shelf arborist yourself. I've learned a ton from your posts.

Here are some photos of me in the Work Climb.

I'm staged on the left. Chad climbing on the right.
