Mini Articulating wheel loaders.

Avant, Gehl, giant.

Avant hands down, it will pick up more than it can cary and it’s stable. Gehl is tippy and won’t pick up as much as you would think for its size and the giant is an underpowered turd.

KM100 from miniloaders.com. Belgian import. I only had Cast to compare with when making my purchase, and I have no regrets. Best business purchase I have ever made. Comparable or better specs to Giant but cheaper. Also faster than any other single speed unit Im aware of at 11mph. . Paired with a BMG, I love the high reach for stuffing material into the dump trucks. Love the Branch manager broom also. Compared to the Cast , I like the excellent visibility from the high seat rear cab. Simple machine, no computers and all metal.

I wonder what Giant you used? We run th e 254T and love them. They are our favorite. in fact we have 5 of them. We also run ditch witch Zahns. We own Gehl machines too and they have been good.

I never could get over the plastic panels on the Avant and sitting on the front of the machine feels awkward to me. We have had Avants dropped off and tried to like them, just not for us. I believe Avant is a high quality machine, but tree work and plastic don’t mix well in my opinion.

I have visited the Cast, Giant and Multi-One factories. Hands down we love the Giant.

how much was it if you don't mind sharing...

The "plastic" panels were a concern for us as well, we ended up purchasing the reinforced panels and have been pretty lucky so far. We are at about 550 hours.

Are there any problems with getting them into a dump trailer, such as high-centering or unable to ascend the ramps? If they can get into the dump trailer, how long does the trailer need to be to fit it and the BMG? Thanks!

No problems whatsoever at 42” deck with my 10’ ramps. I typically load into a dedicated equipment flatbed however. I think the loader with grapple is around 11’

Avant 528, simply awesome machine and lifting abilities are outstanding! I have a mini skid as well, it sits most of the time. Turf tires are so much better then tracks, no mats to lay down, no wrecking nice lawns. Plus sitting in a cab with a roof, great controls what else can you ask for!

I have Vermeer CTX100 with a pellet full of 4'x4' 3/4" plywood that works well for my operation for now. an Avant is what I'm looking into for future purchase. Have a question for those who uses their Avant in winter. Do you run the loader without plywood on winter wet and soggy lawn?

Soggy lawns we use alturna mats. In heavy snow i use the mini skid ( 725) it does better in heavy snow then my avant.
