MidWest TCC June 14, 2008

Re: MidWest TCC June 14, 2008

How many mid-westerners do we have on here? Not too many, I think. Our chapter covers Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, and Iowa. Last year was the first year in my 9 years competing that the roster didn't fill up all the way, (probably because it was in South Dakota, so harder for people to get away from the southern states.) I'd love to see us fill it up this year, I think we will because Tim Crews is putting up posters at all the vermeer dealerships and sending them to lots of company owners in the 7 states. We always have a great comp with lots of prizes, Tim is quite the sponsor hustler.

Re: MidWest TCC June 14, 2008

hey noel,

when did tim start this poster campaign? Ive been in the OKC vermeer twice in the last 2 weeks and there is nothing there.

Ive not heard anything of it except for whats been posted here.

I dont think im coming. At least its not in the plans.

I talked to Eshleman, he's on the fence.

I understand spreading the wealth as far as where to hold the comps, but I think the chapter needs to hold it in a more central location to where the climbers and judges are coming from.

Re: MidWest TCC June 14, 2008

Hey, David--long time no talk. Tim must have missed that location, or they just didn't put the poster up. I'll check with him. It does suck to go all the way to south dakota for the comp, but the midwest board approved it. anyway, the next two years it will be in Kansas City, they are working on locating parks and sponsors already. That will be so much better for everyone involved, (except the usual 1 competitor from the Dakotas,of course)

Re: MidWest TCC June 14, 2008

BTW--Aaron Kiesz from SD has already sent out the entry forms for last year's competitors, we got them last week. Let tim know if you need entry forms, which I know you need, because it would be just plain wrong for you or Brian not to be there. I hope the bug will bite you between now and then. Talk to you soon.

Re: MidWest TCC June 14, 2008

Hey Noel,

I did (and brian too) get the registration. I think I got it the day after my post.

I believe brian is coming. im not.

Good to hear its in KC next yr. I tried to get it to Oklahoma but the power that be wouldnt call me back on it or seem to express interest in it coming here. Oh well, to much going on now to be a good host.

Good luck in SD! I look forward to hearing the results.

I sure hope we can make a good show in St. Louis. Itll suck to have the sponsoring chapter climber in the bottom 5.

Re: MidWest TCC June 14, 2008

Bottom 5? Sorry bro that just won't happen...I think you've been gone too long...Our climbers rank much higher. ;)
Glad to hear Brian is gonna make it this year! Now why don't you just pull away for a day or two and come on up...If you're so busy then surely you could afford the flight up....That will save that tiresome drive.

Re: MidWest TCC June 14, 2008

B,

I know our guys are WAY better than bottom 5. Im just saying that as an example. I also know everyone has thier bad day. Im just hopeing the one to represent us is at their highest both in SD and StL.

Of course, it may look suspicious to a lot of folks if the sponsor chapter climber is in the MC. I know it would to me if it werent our chapter.

Re: MidWest TCC June 14, 2008

Thats another reason im not coming to sd, Id hate to take away your chance at going.

Dave......

For caring so much about how the comp goes and chapter is represented....I'd have thought you would at least come to support the chapter in one way or another......
I know u r busy but come on.....So am I and so is noel.....Suck it up man...Get to sd and help out....I'm looking for an aerial rescue judge who like what i have to offer... ;)

Re: MidWest TCC June 14, 2008

I wonder..... If we can get David to be head judge for AR, how much it would cost to bribe him for the first place spot. Shall we start the bidding?
