MCRS Suspender Mod...

Stole some stuff off an old saddle today and did a little sewing. The Speedy Stitcher is a good tool!

Anyway, this mod might be a little overkill, but my Buckingham Retrofit Suspenders which have been sitting forever, are now retrofitted to my harness. And it's a good thing, because this saddle requires a special skill-set to put on without falling over. But suspenders actually make it easier.

Oh yeah, for an easier mod, get some cheap "pants suspenders" from Tractor Supply. They clip pretty well to the small rings of the MCRS, right out of the box. The adjustment buckles on them suck though, but probably pretty easy to modify.

I laughed when you sad fall over. I do sometimes too. Is it just me or since I've been climbing trees I've lost all balance unless a rope is tied to me. Lol
I was just telling someone about this the other day. I spend the whole day suspending my self like a puppet, dangerously floating above the hard ground only to return to the ground to look like a clumsy oaf who's never walked on his own feet before.

Yeah, it's like, "Hey y'all, watch this Cirque de Soleil junk while I swing back and forth over your roof with a chainsaw!" "
Okay, now watch me try to take off my saddle and fall down this hill.":llorando:

Yes. It's a lot heavier than my Sequoia but you only notice that when you're putting it on. Feels really heavy duty, and even without the suspenders it feels less apt to fall down, once buckled and walking around. I guess because it's heavy, and the leg loops are step-in and don't buckle, it's a little awkward to put on. Until you get it buckled it wants to go back to the ground.

Incredible range of side-to-side motion, and I'll never have to worry about components wearing out again. Everything is so simple to replace I'll probably just keep it forever. :) Until the latest fad hits the market anyway.

One other thing I've noticed since owning the MCRS; I find myself looking at all my old defective saddles hanging up in the shop, wondering how to Frankenstein them together into a new saddle. Kinda digging the custom modding thing.
