Someone skilled like Mark Chisholm would be worth like $50/hour to us. But since he's a celebrity, I'd have to pay him like $75/hour.

Those of you that are skilled climbers:
I'd expect a good climber and good worker to be currently in a job. So, we could set up a work day on a Saturday if someone wanted to see what it would be like to work for Arbor-X.

I would want someone to be sure of the move to our company, if they were going to leave another job.

So, contact us so we can learn about you and you can learn about us.

This position is still open.

We are still reviewing applicants. If you applied, we will be contacting you shortly.

We did have one applicant that checked us out well and we were impressed with him. However, moving to another state and leaving family behind became too much of an issue.

So, lucky for someone else, the position is still open.

Position is still available.

We made this offer in hopes that it would be too good to pass up.

I can't believe we've only had 4 true tree climbers contact us. Only one was serious enough to write back, talk on the phone and come in for an interview.

I wish that I actually had this opportunity, I think I would consider quiting the business and apply for it myself.

That's how I set up the pay and benefits, something that I would be interested in.

Maybe people think it's too good to be true.

I placed a new ad on monster.com:

http://jobview.monster.com/GetJob.aspx?J...;pg=1&seq=2

If you think it's too good to be true, isn't it worth it to check it out to see if it's true.

Id be all over it if I were single without children.

Good luck with the search! I hope you find the right person for the position.

You guys get snow there. Thats a huge no no for me. I moved away from my family to avoid snow. Trust me I like your benifits and what you got to offer. But I'm starting to settle down and moving again is such a pain.

You still looking. I'm debating whether or not I should move back to Maryland. My dad's family is in north baltimore, and they'd be really happy if I moved back home. I have a knuckle boom, but I'm not into running a business. I'd rather work for someone.

My wife and I are looking to relocate and I am looking for a tree company that is in need of an experienced expert tree climber.

Trimming/pruning to I.S.A standards, Running ropes, Heavy equipment, Stump grinders, and any other types of machinery associated with tree work are all skills acquired over the years. I am also certified for Utility power line clearance, and Ariel Rescue through the Davey Tree Expert Company.I have also been privileged to be able to climb and work in the redwoods and big eucalyptus trees in northern California. I have worked with a few companies in Santa Cruz Ca. I'm looking to relocate from Florida to the area and make it my permanent home. wow, sounds like some great climbers out there looking to get a better job.

Wish I had positions available for everyone that is skilled and valuable.

I hadn't been on the buzz really, in months, just too busy.

We hired cuttenwolf from New Jersey.

We's working out great. Not only skilled, but a great attitude and that matters a lot.

Maybe another climber could be added next season? I would post here.

I do know of another good tree service in the area that's looking for a good climber. If you are interested PM me. They are almost like our business and they might pay almost as good.

About the foreign work visa question from Germany. I am starting the process this month, August, 2008 in preparation for some of our foreign worker groundmen that arrive between March 15th and April 15th 2009. So, that tells you something.

Our government, (congress) screwed up bigtime this year by not renewing the "save the small business act" that allowed enough foreign workers to be permitted. So many people were denied this year, probably why the illegal numbers went sky high this year. It was difficult to get workers this year and many businesses did not get them. Landscapers and lawn services that depend on these laborers probably suffered the most.

A climber from New Zealand was asking if we would be interested in sponsering him to come over as well. For the advertising that we must do to prove to our department of labor that I am searching for local help, plus the legal fees and the services that we pay our agent for, we pay from $3600 to $4600, for 1 man to 10 men from ONE country. So, if we want 3 men from Mexico, it costs around $3600 to $4600. So, if we wanted one man from Germany, or New Zealand, it would cost another $3600 to $4600 to get them here. Maybe if the worker was willing to pay some of the costs, it would be more desirable. You guys willing to contribute? Maybe a small deduction out of each paycheck? Just thinking.
