Makita Battery Tools Kit $550/Trade

Njdelaney

Been here much more than a while
Location
Detroit
I have the following Makita 18V 5.0 Amp hour battery tools for sale that I would like to sell as a package. Makita XCU06 18V top handle saw with stock 12" bar and good sharp chain. I also have a 1/4" pitch sprocket that comes with it so you can convert it, which makes a huge difference in the performance. I ran it this way but am keeping the 1/4" bar and chain for my 2511. Makita XCU04 36V rear handle chainsaw with 16" bar and 4 chains. 2 chains are well used but sharp, 1 chain has a single hour of use on it and 1 chain is unused in original box. Both saws are set up with .043 3/8"LP chain. Makita XCU02 18V hedge trimmer. This is a lightweight hedger that worked great on our Privet hedge. It has been used 3 times so still very sharp. Included is a 2-battery charger and 4 batteries. Reason for selling is that I have invested in Husqvarna tools so I only have one kind of battery. Everything works as intended. Please see pictures and feel free to post or DM with any questions. Price is $550 plus actual shipping, TBD based on location. Also willing to trade for a Stihl MS241 in really nice shape.

That’s a great price. I have the same top handle and enjoy it for smaller trims, cutting brush, and making stuff easier to fit in the trailer.

It’s a good kit for the right buyer. Hopefully you can sell it shortly.

Thanks! Seems like a good price to me too.

A Stihl 241 in good shape is pretty much impossible to find if you can find one at all. Good luck making that trade happen. I’ve got three 241s and they are gold.
Yeah kinda like a rear handle MS200. It can't hurt to ask. Wait, are you the guy I need to talk to???

If I remember @AlfA0137 used to be able to get saws no longer available in the US for reasonable prices shipped to the US. Maybe he has a line on a new 241 and/or a new 346xp? I know he had access to new 346s a few years ago but maybe there aren't any left.

Are ms 241s better than 261s?
Yes. Slightly smaller, single bar nut instead of two, and perfect power to weight ratio. I use mine instead of a top handle saw on removals where I’m doing larger sized cuts. I have two in my van at all times. One with a 16” bar and one with an 18” bar. If I’m not climbing with the battery saw or when it is time to get into the wood, these are the first saws up the tree with me.
