lyme disease

Ok, so the boss calls me up tonight, "Matt, don't bother coming in tomorow, I'm going to see the doctor because I think I picked up lyme disease again." This is his second time in 7? years having lyme disease. Me, I haven't been bitten by a tick to the best of my knowledge in well over 10 years. My question here is this. I have been on different types of medication every day since I was 12 years old (11 years now) and I am wondering if the medication is killing off any ticks that bite me before they can infect me with the disease. Has anybody heard of this happening before?

There is a Lyme inoculation out there on the market. I read about in a hunting mag. I'm not sure if I cures it or prevents it. I think you could do a search on it. I have found two on me this year. Seems lite I keep getting the little tiny ones. Heat will get the big ones to let go but the little ones are a bear to get off!

Have you tried vasseleen? rub it on the tick and it backs out 'cause it can't breath. well it's supposed to work and if it don't your not out much. at least it's better then rippeng the little bugger's head off in the skin.

Ive been told mot to use oils etc. for this. Although they will back out it causes the tick to regergitate leaveing behind what you are trying to avoid.

Lymes disease is caused by the deer tick, as we all know, however, only 3% of the time does an INFECTED tick spread the lymes disease to a person (or other animal). From what I understand many people are infected, but their bodies are able to fight it off before they get sick or show symptoms.
So maybe you just have good blood, or the medication you are taking does indeed kill the spyrochites(sp?) in your blood at the point of infection, its highly possible.

If you have had lymes disease you can get a new case or a reoccuring case, I have had both. Remember though a new case can be treated with Abots, but a new case is always associated with a glaringly bad headache and hi fever, ive hit 105 both times. Reoccuring case cant actually be treated with abots best regimine is anti-inflamatories and getting your stress level down, Relapses can often be caused by increased stress or other infections (flu, cold, in my case ehrliciosis (sp?))

I would not recomend that people take the vaccine, they have found that people who take the vaccine can develop the chronic symptoms of Lymes disease, and that they can, in many cases still contract it.

The scarier one to look out for is ehrliciosis, its becoming more wide spread atleast in wisconsin, where I got it, and it kills 1 in 7 people who have it. I no longer have a functioning left kidney because of it. Ehrliciosis is also caused by ticks (horrible headache). It acts like lymes disease, but no joint pain, and it screws with your insides, when i got this one they thought that I had cancer, its bad stuff.
