Lose yer shirt for a good cause

Tom, others,
I own two Sierra Moreno ultralights and a Sequoia SRT. I spend a lot of time removing big trees with big saws a-hangin. SMU with good suspenders (deluxe from Sherrill) make a great comfortable removal setup.

It's like many have pointed out - what you start climbing in may stick with you for a long time. Though I srt alot, I also use some really basic equipment.

Cool that you pointed it out, I forget sometimes it's an old-school aspect of my setup.

UPDATE: Hi guys, Ok, I have 36 photos right now - brave souls! I'm fixing to see how they look in different sizes and then will put them in some gallery so we can all see them. Then, those of you who contributed can make sure your name is correct and add a caption if you'd like. Keep them coming, some sent many of themselves and even though they are all great, we'd like to represent all corners here.

I've touched some of them up with basic fixes but some will have to be sent directly to my *real* email - I'll let you know who that is. JaminMayer, I think you're all set in that dept!

Yes, yes ... still getting around to finding someone to photo me in a tree :)

There are some AWESOME photos on this thread!!! LOVE it! Thanks guys :)

I posted this over in WOTT land, but I'm posting here as well, to cover all the bases.

OK, people, this is kinda cool.... here's an update:

I don't want to speak too soon, but we have a shot at getting a sponsor for this here project. A real sponsor, who makes stuff that you use on the job

cool, no? More details on a need to know basis... which means I need to know them myself before I can tell y'all.
We actually are working to make this a cool project that will be fun, hopefully make the TreeBuzz family happy & proud & do some good while we're at it.
Pruninggal is collecting and notating all the pix, and Frax has a professional graphic artist friend who we may enlist to kick up the WOW factor a notch.
Me, I'm just generally here to cause trouble, so...
But what about YOU???

We need YOU to please submit the following:
1 PIX!

2 suggestions for which cause or charity you'd like to support... we will narrow those down, choose one and get this proposal rolling to "our sponsor" or "sponsors" if I can swing that.

3 here's a great suggestion from Tom D: populate the pages with significant tree-related anniversaries, dates and events... Al Shigo's birthday...Thoreau...Robert Frost was a 'treeguy'... Johnnie Appleseed...you get the drift. So send in your famous tree people or events.
Quotes too, I love nature quotes.

As a newbie on the scene, I gotta say this sure is a fun way to get to know some of you guys ;) THANKS to all who've sent in photos so far

WOTT... sistas, please join in! We need all the help we can get!!! And I think we're gonna need some women in this thing to get any of the guys to actually purchase a copy, so HELP!

Cheers friends

Hey sprung22 from Cuyahoga Falls, will you be going to the OTCC end o' the month? see you there if so, & nice pic!

I did post some pix of yours truly over on the WOTT calendar thread... Pruninggal said she posted, so I thought I'd step up in support :)

So far Robinia, I think is the only fellow Canuck who has stepped up.
But this is just because it is freaking cold out, right? Tell me I'm right.
It's minus 10 here now which is 14 in American.

And about the shirtless thing - well its gratuitous eye candy for sure, but I don't want to seem like some lascivious...well whatever.

Truth is, when I look at all the awesome work pix so far shared, its obvious that tree men are buff and well worth looking at with shirts on too.

So, when we thaw out here, Songbird, Katy and the other gals, get ready for some great northern exposure!

Hi all, we are in the midst of choosing a worthy cause.

In the meantime, I put all the photos submitted so far into a Picassa album so y'all could view them without searching this entire thread. I think these are remarkable and I'm super proud of everyone!

What I need is complete names (or AKA's) and a Month if you prefer and it's not already specified on another photo.

Happy perusing! And, it's totally not too late to submit either - keep them coming!
