Looking to trade rope wrench

Hey man, not interested in trading, but I sent you a PM yesterday. And climbing innovations HH might be a better route to go.

How is your rope wrench set up and what are you asking for it?
I climb on the HH2 was was thinking about getting a Stubby BDB soon but the constantly rising price + shipping is nuts.
Money better set aside for the soon to never be released Akimbo which comes certified without a waiver signing requirement.
I have always been curious about trying the WR.
Have any pics?

I don't know if you have climbed on a HH2 yet, but I could probably be persuaded to loan you one to try for a while. Always best to try before you fly! Give me a shout if your interested.
Yeah sure dude that would be awesome. I’ve never used anything but the rope wrench. I’m trying to expand and get into better stuff.

I have the zk2 with a 12 inch tether. And I use the hitch climber pulley with it. I just found out it works best on the blue moon rope with four wrap xt hitch with the hrc cord.I was trying to get the hitch hiker 2 for all that

PM me your mailing address and I will ship the HH2 and you can give it a go for a while. I will include everything you need to get going. I would hang onto the Wrench setup until you find something you like better. The HH2 is not any better than the Wrench, just different. Both are world class tools that some of the best climbers on the planets daily.

I got your PM, but it won't let me respond some reason. To answer your question, yes the HH works beautifully in Ddrt mode with a friction saver. I run mine mostly SRT, and have been really enjoying the holster that they sell at Wesspur. Makes it tend like a dream. The HH is a kickass tool that takes a little bit of work to get dialed in, so take your time and enjoy. You will be rewarded if you do. The man who invented the HH (PCTree) hangs out here, as well as some resident expert (DSMc, YoYoMan, SouthSoundTree, Treebilly), so there is a lot of valuable info to be found with a little searching. I will ship it out in the next few days.

Great I’m probably going to end up getting one if I like it. I have to have something that does ddrt cause I’m 220 you know srt work positioning can be a bitch. I have been waiting for the akimbo to come out. Seems like it’s never going to happen. Are you going to the penn del climbing competition coming up?

Like I said, go ahead and try the HH as long as you want. Its a great tool, and I hope it works out for you.
Climbing competitions? Me? Gawd no!

You ever add a hand ascender while moving around the canopy? I don't mean for like initial ascent.
For example, I had some sort of tennis elbow deal going on wtih my elbow. It was from trying to grab the line and whip myself around in awkward ways to tend slack or just advance a hitch a smidge. When I added a hand ascender, clipped a carabineer at the bottom of it, then the rope tail on the biner, it made a mini 3-1 MA deal that is similar to Ddrt when you need it/ want it.
Good luck bud

Even a carabiner on an Alpine Butterfly or clove-hitch, if you're on a budget.

There is that other thread where they just clip the rope through the biner a handful of times, wrapping the spine to make the 3:1 biner stationary when under load, and retrievable when unloaded.
