Here are some photos detailing the construction:

In use, I can throw an 8oz bag 60' horizontal with it.

Typical of me, shot video first time I used it at height, fun times. I had the video up on youtube then took all my stuff off of youtube after some online argument about people potentially killing themselves after watching my videos. Later I re-posted it on Vimeo so I think this video is actually from 2009.

Ha! Not likely, Spielberg will not return my phone calls!

That was before I had a purpose built helmet cam, I attached a video cam to my bicycle helmet, I wasn't going to drill holes in my climbing helmet ;-) It was weird, top-heavy as hell. But it worked.

I evolved the line setting technique from what some folks were doing on the now defunct "Canopy Chatter" rec climbing forum. A climber named "Jaybird" was calling it the "Dangle", the footshot extended the range of its traverse setting possibilities.

Professional rec climbing grumpy old man Joe Maher and his brother Bill were the main drivers behind the Canopy Chatter forum. Joe has since moved on to canopy heaven, possibly reincarnated as a howler monkey in the Panama rainforest!

The only time I climbed with Joe and Bill was excellent, newly discovered (at the time) monster white pine at the southern end of its range in far northern Georgia.

Rest in canopy peace Jungle Joe Maher! Doubt it, probably causing all kinds of trouble in heaven.

Thanks for bearing with me on the digressions, back to Climbing Innovation's Wrist Rocket!
