looking for wider climbing boots

Howdy,

I've got skinny feet that suited my Scafell Lite's, but I have to give them up due to a brewing bunion. I'm not longer fussed about chainsaw protection, and I use my CanWest's when I spur. Would appreciate your recommendations on something wider than the Lite's in the toe area, and sticky good for pruning in the canopy.

Cheers,

I don't know if this will be of any help in your search, but I too have skinny feet, so I buy women's boots. Built like the men's but skinnier. I wear a man's 9-1/2 which is usually a 10ish in women's. But you said you are looking for a wider boot now, so that may not be relevant to your search.

Pittsburgh. Steel toe, full shank. Spurs beat them up a bit, but I wear the walking surface out before the shanks create a problem.

I have had at least ten pairs over lots of years.

I also own Wesco's but haven't worn them in years. No good for hard ground groundwork. Fine for a forest setting.

If I have a big spar (west coast) to bring down from spurs without an overhead TIP, I'll wear the Hiax. This is mainly the only time I wear my tree spurs (Ti Bucks with velcro wraps.

Keens have way less bulk and warmth for warm weather, spurless pruning.
