Looking for Jameson Big shot head with band .

Pinhead seriously. Lordy.
Yes... they smashed my van windows and runsacked it. That thing is so powerful so I'm hoping no one uses for with bad intentions . I've already made a police report and clearly noted about it . Officer told me they are going to take a finger prints out of my van but they never showed up. ...

the replacement windows and labor costed me nearly $300 for busted front window shield . Plus $250 for driver side window and some tips for the technicians to the site of incident.

They cut my steering wheel and the Club ( security locks for the steering wheel and pedal ) with portable grinders . I can see the width of the cut and found used up grinder's plate on side of the shrub.
They hacked to city street light pole and stole juice from it with extension cable it seems like.
There were some homeless guy I. A can and they seems knows what really happened and closing their mouth shut when I interviewed them.

The steering wheel costed me $150 for the used steering wheel from used car junk yard . That I can replace it with myself for free .
The Club (security locks 2 of them ) costed me like $70 & $40 or so .

But thieves didn't take fiberglass poles with it . so regular people can't pull that by itself alone for sure because it's too strong for regular persons arm strength unless they attach some kind of long stick to it . The head and poles were there right next to each others and if you are normal functioning individual then you can figure out that it would take head and poles to use it. But they or one individual didn't or he or she was in a big hurry Im guessing.

He stole my emergency camping tent too so I'm assuming they are teenage homeless or some drug addicts ... who ain't not so bright in a head . I mean smashing someone's car windows ain't already normal person to begin with LoL

Just settle down a bit. You are wound too tight, even for LA.
Once again, Thank you .
Not many people out here so kind enough to send someone an package and item for free of charge .

After the big bills for the repair cost on my van then my friend is asking me to help him at his home next to the next ... I needed to fix van in all in a one tim in a daytime . coz I don't wanna get parking ticket and I can't let my car windows all busted out to invite other thieves to come into my van on a street again. And I have a other job to do at night .
After Ive fixed my van I had no money to spend for anything that I ,my, me , myself and I, accountant tells me.

I do really in need to use big shot for that tree that I'm going to be working on and I just can't let it leave my big shot poles with out a head parts after all .
I can advance myself with hand throw throw bag with throw lines but I figured it's better just put an canopy anchor first as high as I can do to save my energies in such a high heat at that area for a just a touch up silly trimming for my friends house . In fact, after helping my friend I gatta do another work to do after that too. I don't wanna get all beat up with heat & swear for half day helping my friend thingy as a favor .

My buddy lives in a outskirts of city and it's surrounded with lots of tall trees on a hilly side .

As I looked into Internet, the head replacement part would cost me hefty price of around $80 to $90 for a piece of steels that was welded to the short pipe.

I was a silly Certified auto technician / mechanic and can weld stuff fairly easily coz I've got skills for some weldings but if I think of time to drive up my old welding job place and had a talk with my old ex-coworkers to give them case of beers to obtain permition to use their equipments that isn't worth doing it for time being. For spot welding ? A case beers ? C'mon . LoL

If I can drink alcohol I would rather drink it all by myself after that devastating damages that happened to my van from no where without any notice . LMAO but, now I do know who conspired it tho . LoL

So giving away $80-$90 of item to give a hands to someone who is in a pinch like me that itself means lot to me .

Not many people would do that. not around here or now a days.

It's very hard to come by .

Yes , It means lot to me.
I really appreciate it.
Thank you .

Back when big shots cost probably half of what they are now I cheaped out and brazed some 5/16 steel rod onto a garage door opener steel tube, add one broom handle extension custom fit, a little handiwork making a leather pouch with bands, steal Moss's archery trigger and Bob's your uncle many years later, I just keep replacing the latex tubing as it dies. Gives the option of changing tubing force. I just switched out Theraband for SKLZ tubing. Have SKLZ tubing on my lightweight version. Was going to make a portable folding head like the one Sherril squashed but didn't get a Round Tuit.

Yeah, that was my initial reactions right after I found out that it has been stolen from my magic van . " okay ! This is nothing ! I'll just gonna make one myself ! " Like that.
All I need is a couple of two piece of steel dowels , few inches pipe , an used dry cleaners coat hanger wires and torch that's it. :) or I would just weld them together properly.

I'm sure brazing would do the job for meantime. however ,
remember that this kind of slingshot apparatus requires applying repeating stresses then release of forces alternatively . That means it's gonna creates metal fatigues / material fatigues soon or later in time we just don't know when that's gonna all broke loose . Therefore it is better off to weld them together . Just to be safe and sure . It's way better than sorry . because welding has much stronger bonds than just brazing two piece togather.

Advantages of Welding :
Produces stronger joints than brazing or soldering.

It looks similar to most of people but one is applying a bond between the two objects. Like a putting a glue on between two items and adhering two togather . . Welding is like fusing two pieces of metal with a glue but melting it's material mixing it with each others to create much stronger bonds together. Actually That's a huge differences between the two .

Also , Big shot throw weight launcher requires climber to aim then shoot out it's projectile called Throw bag. That means shooter's eyes and face would be directly in lines with face , pouch , projectile , rubber/ silicone bands, to the sling shot arms in straight line some times . When you applied pulling force and maintaining it's position for a while the bands are pulling its forks and applying stress and forces of maximum strength . What if after repeated use with stresses and release movements created metal fatigues in those most stressed area of the forks then snap back to your face or hands ? It would give possibly very devastating damages to the users , obviously. Even if you were wearing safety glasses and visorers over your face. C'mon noone wants that things snap back at ya face. LoL I remember that Guy who created Titan submersible ship proudly saying this sub isn't a ordinary submersible... this is a innovation of bra bra bra ... something like that . But completely forgot such a fundamental rules of material's characteristics... and off he went including other innocent victims who believed on him.

Well, either way , I would need adequate tools and materials and place to make one. That requires time , some funds and my labor time , fuels to visit them , communication skills to convince my ex coworkers and a case of beers. LoL

Then I realized that when all that troubles I have to go thru to make one but instead, Isnt it much better to ask someone who has one already ? So I decided to just ask someone from this Tree bay for help.

Sure enough , It turns out to be just Great !

People on this forum are very good people . No natural born lame jerks are around here LoL

So , after I posted my request I wasn't expecting anything at all but @Shadowscape reached out to me right away after Ive posted my post .
He says he's got one and he will send it to me like " right away right now " !! Then He really send me a package like same day with blistering fast shipping speed just as he said & he did just as he would .
I've got the package and item . I've inspected item through out and found out that there are few nicks and petina type rust and the rubber bands are showing some aging .I was sure about I can use two or three times with current condition with no issues . Anyway I've wiped off very light rust with some household oil like 123 to clean it off then I found out that heads metal part is completely intact just like brand new . only thing is just to replace bands. I do have a replacement bands already so I just installed it and ta-da ! It's brand new perfect condition!
So now? I'm good to go !

Yeahhhhh .... :bailando:

This is the beauty of Treebay !
This is the power of people .
Treebay everyone !!

Spread your love and let's help & share each others !

So , When you have still good unused or used gears and tools you can sell them or barter them , exchange them ! Why don't we !?
That's what this Treebay is all about !

Cost me a couple hours, $10 leather, $20 tubing, $30? archery release, free other materials going on a decade of use. Satisfaction of all bells and whistles except laser sight knowing I made it - priceless. Just like the cheesy commercial. Don't worry it's plenty overbuilt.

Always shoot forks down. Sight, touch the trigger, go. I prefer a sort of rifle hold, not the end on ground method. One hand on the end, one by the trigger.

Congratulations! You did it !
Make sure inspect your gear and parts before the launch. Next time use spear gun rubber bands ... :maraca:and don't use big shot for 15 free pine tree and fall like the guy that I know . LoL

I have gone 100% to an air canon. Rebuilt a store bought one to make it better. Had a ball valve that I replaced with a butterfly valve. Put the handle on the other side where it should have been in the first place. Good accuracy to 150 feet with 20 pumps on a bicycle air pump.
Pros and cons to each. I'm just not fond of being around those stretched bands.

Yeah, I did build a air spud cannon when I was 4th grade or so. It does packs a decent power.
Later on , I've learned Spud gun with gas. That I liked most. But they says no more hair spray. LMAO .

Around here I really don't need to use that powerful gadget to shoot out throw bag to the air. Not that tall trees are around here except palm trees .
Plus I just don't like the idea of packing air or gas with portable compressor or canister. I have to go back to the car for recharge it takes time if it's air or gas ., etc.
Since trees aren't so tall around here so big shot launcher is waay enough to do a jobs . It's fairly accurate once you get a hang of it it's gets natural to it if use it often .
Gas powered , air powered launcher is great. You can control it with it's power by pressure gauges and angles and aims.
for me , slingshot style is enough for trees around here. Easy , fast , no nonsense. Maybe if Im going to be on a tall trees in forrest I might be get one but right now I don't need it.

I know an r'tard who REALLY PREPARED HIMSELF & bought a Jameson big shot to shoot out just over 15 ft pine tree.LMAO

He climb up with most expensive and newest gadgets on a market. Of he spend a fortune . Rope runner pro and all kinds of goodies he spends for himself. He even lectures me about how to set up tie ends on a canopy and SRT MRS systems LoL  :risas:
When I saw him climb up on just a 15 ft pine tree and broke one of the branch and fall from it then his Rope runner wasn't set up right ... LMAO oh man! I was laughing my arse off . Let's say If he died on a spot I would be still laughing on him for sure. That much it was an pathetic climb and such a low height tree was.
I knew what's wrong with this foo . He sounds technically super savvy and thinking knows it all but he just doesn't have any experiences with any common sense. You dont set an canopy anchor on such a young 15 footer urban feeble weak pine tree and stand on its limb that smaller than your arm ... LMAO consequently, he did miserablly falling from that shortest tree . With that height you probably you don't even need any gears to climb even. LoL
