Aww that squirrel probably thought it had such a great hiding spot. I’d probably feel obligated to make sure they had enough to eat during the winter. I’m such a sucker for those little cuties.

That squirrel better up his game if he wants to compete with woodpeckers. You may have seen the video where a microwave antenna failed due to a woodpecker stashing 300 pounds of acorns in it.

I'm just glad the chipmunk (?) quit stashing and eating acorns inside the cabinet of my gas grill.

Maybe they know it’s going to be a hard winter. I have seen other hoards of nuts this year, unlike other years, in tree cavities.
