Knot a splice but a bend

The owner of the sailboat I crew on got a small block from Harken. It had a knotted loop of cord to be used to attach the block to a fairlead. The block gets plenty of load on it when in use, but bounces around a bit when unloaded. The Harken folks recommended to us that we use the knot that came with it. The cord appeared to be dyneema-ish, small diameter (3 mm?), and had been seriously preloaded. Untying it took a while.

The boat owner asked me to make a double loop for attachment using a different cord, and make it a specific length. I thought the knot was a double fishermen's until I looked at it closer. I don't think I've ever seen the knot, and wondered if somebody here could identify it for me. I tied what I call a double fishermen's knot in the gold rope, and the one Harken supplied in the greenish rope. Any ideas?
