Klimair?

Anyone using a klimair for there flipline? And do they like it? I use a 2-1 lanyard and wanna try it because ive been having problems with my hip prusik slipping(I dont like slipping!!!) I use rope and steel core depending on removal or trimming, I figure it should work on both!?!

Thats what a buddy said to try and it takes two hands to adjust it! lol Ive made my mind up to buy one just looking to see if anyone else likes it?

well since i am in a picture posting mood tonight I will show you my current lanyard setup...i love it

Casey, what are the two separate small prussics on your lanyard used for?

Im geussing its so he can choke the spar OR it could be to add a double rope walker....
Im adding one too...not because I know what it is for, but because I dont want to be left out.

My guess is... one is for an SRT lanyard and the other is to hang the tail of it on his saddle.

I am curious like Boogie. I have been thinking about trying out on acender on my lanyard. I use two in one, so you think the kilmair looks like it would work good, but if it doesn't I would think go with a gibbs. Does any one have good input on it?

Thank you again shawn!!! I mail the money yesterday and the shipping address is in there as well...im sure ill like it! And ill post my thoughts here asap.

i run a Gibbs also ive been using it for 4 years now and love it, of course ive never used anything else so i have no real input on the thread but hey is that a squirrel in the corner.

I wouldn't say it takes two hands to use, not on the release, anyway. It does, however, require that you position it, and hold it on center while your flipline is adjusted through.

If you're used to just pulling the tail through, forget it. This is where you use one hand to center the rocking cam, and the other to pull your flipline through.

I used mine for about 6 months, then had to bail on it. I kept looking for something I was missing. This piece has it's place in arboriclture, I'm fairly certain, but not on a flipline. A flipline is one-way lock, the other way release. There is no need to be clamping the flipline going both directions

Looks like I beat the tarnations out of it, but that's kinda normal for gear pieces. I do remember liking the swivel aspect of it.
