Klemheist as SRS hitch

I feel like I should know the answer to this, but don't. Is there a reason we the klemheist shouldn't be used, as a hitch, if it is configured with a wrench (or another device to add friction)?

Just preference about performance and personally the asymmetric look makes me feel like everything is wrong with the world.
It’s a tried and true friction hitch, it isn’t unsafe or a big no-no, go ahead and try it low and slow.

Just FYI

One more note regarding my 2015 post above.
The female climber was Canadian Wenda Li, who WON the International TCC in 2002.
So, she knew what she was doing !

Wenda & I have talked numerous times over the years; I have never remembered to ask what happened.

In my experience the klemhiest or it‘s upside down sister the Kreutzklem (a.k.a. Hedden) suffer the same issues as the English prussic. Enough wraps to hold, makes them stiff and unresponsive as a climbing hitch. Good if you never really load them as in foot locking or if you want them to hold as in spider leg rigging.
