Kayo boots

Alright.

I purchased a pair of the Kayo chainsaw boots from arbortec. They are sweet!

One thought I had while trying them on is, what's up with the tongue?!

But when I tried on my breathe flex chainsaw pants with them I had a revelation. There is Velcro inside the front cuff of the pant... There is Velcro on the upper tongue of the boot. Bingo, the Velcro matches and holds the tongue in place pretty well!

Has anyone come to this conclusion as well?

I'm out of town but will try and post a picture when back home

Cheers

I'd say range of motion is unchanged. Though the Kayo is bulky to begin with. Compared to arb pros it's a big difference. I'll see when they actually break in.

I am still rocking the arbs for now as they are too damn comfortable.

i understand they are advertised as climbing boots with chainsaw protection. i found them to be huge and would rather climb/prune in a pair of meindl airstream. a couple of friends send them back because of that. interesting to hear that you like them.. different strokes..

Ha, ya I would definitely hesitate to wear them for pruning in a Bradford pair or anything with super tight unions... We shall see how they wear over time. The arbpros are sweet right now. And probably forever and ever. I haven't heard of the Meindl airstreams
