Kaboem

I was very lucky today..... (cup half full instead of half empty /forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif).

We are prepairing the soil in the new locations for the transplanting of about 140 trees. In hole 139 I heard a big bang next to me.

Aahrch. Yes in Holland all the cables for the electricity run underground.

So we have to dig by hand a control ditch at the site were we are going to dig with the machine. And you know what? WE DID.
But there was a surprise in a corner.

This is a close-up from the little snake.

About 300 houses very happy. At this time at the Olympic wintergames the 500 meter speedskating started /forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif, so that's no more coffee tomorrow in that neighbourhood.

close one! digressing a little, when workin on the roads 15 years ago remember my mate puttin the pekker through a 12in water pipe. not funny u may say but when he put his foot on it to try and stop the leak had to laugh as the water pressure catapulted him out of the hole which was 5ft deep!

AHHHH Wolter, it doesnt happen only to me :))))))

Next week we have to plant nearby 6 (six!) major big gas/chemical pipes. 2 main (national)gastransport, pressure at 70bar, 1 other line from a gas compettitor also at 70bar, 1 ethylene transport, 1 oil line and as i believe 1 for NATO (fuel?) purposes.

The companys has put markers above them today and we MUST stay clear from 10 meters either side with our digging and planting trees.
