Is it just me?

There was almost a ten story rappel down the side of a hotel one night. Then alcohol showed up, so the plan was cancelled.

That be awesome. Then ropewalking floor to floor would be the office exercise

Yeah, I was thinking that too. I overlook another building with rope access anchors. Could have a good escape route down to the roof, then to ground.

I play pick the tie in all the time! And sometimes carry on to plan the whole canopy route in my perfect effortless stroll of imaginary tree climbing. The real thing is more sweaty and noisy.

Imaginary route is perfect every time and the whole climb only takes an hour. That's including throwline, rope install and pack up at the end. lol

I had a lot of fun at the TreeStuff Arbtrek. At one point I was on a bridge above a trail, probably 50' high, and couldn't figure a way down... So I canopy anchored to the railing and down I went! It wasn't anything particularly thrilling about the descent, but the experience was totally awesome.

That would've been a blast!

I've only seen tree gear used for this in vids, but oh how I've wished I had my climb bag with me a few times.

Glad it's just not me!!

Not sure fully why I've been so attracted to tree climbing, but I love it and it's fun how this interest/passion/sport brings much joy and regular thoughts of climbing everything.

When I was in New York, there was a four story mall that I walked around a few times, checking out tie ins, zip lines, swings and drops. How much fun could we all have if a place like that was closed for a day and thirty arbs had free reign?

Yeah, that would be a blast, a bit like parkour for climbers.

Racing some rope access guys would be fun. They have to use their gear, we use ours ;)
