Is it just me, or is SRT strenuous compared to DRT?

That is real clean, relaxed looking; might do nicely if showed nuances from from different angles!
.
i've made quick chest roller out of 1"webbing and plastic clips to just hold CoG close to/parallel rope line a few times. Just played lightly like that some or showed others what they could try. It is not a direct life connection if fails etc. Not too hard or expensive to see how it could work for you low and slow.
.
If keep CoG inline to rope as a support column is then the nominal amount of work to match the work only of rise only. As CoG falls away from this line, still have to do the nominal amount of work plus more as CoG is deflected at leveraged angle from rope column, so must pay this co$t too then on top of the nominal work minimum.
.
Compression (leg compression rather than arm tension)does have side byproduct of pushing CoG out of line(where tension, like from arms overhead has side byproduct of to pull more to correctly inline w/CoG). So w/o roller that is a constant fight against the byproduct in leg power; then the more ground you lose in that fight the more CoG is leveraged against you, and next compression tries to make it more so. i always thought more lung capacity/ease in the upright position too.
.
In supports, most things fail not because of the direct inline loading, but rather the byproduct side force. Whether that be compression pushing outwards from centerline or seems in rope tension can pull the to over correctively past centerline with byproduct and fail from a side perspective not inline clean, even separation, but more shear.

you can expand your options by using a very long lanyard, like 25'+ and with a prusik. gives you an always available mini ddrt system. you can daisy chain it compact unwinding from the middle. you can attach to the hip, lower d, bridge, whatever, mix it up depending on the situation. If you use something like an akimbo or hitchhiker, it can additionally be a secondary srt system. get creative with mechanical advantage redirects and have all sorts of fun. 2 thumbs up for a long lanyard.
