The Public Horticulture Internship
Interns at The Morton Arboretum
The Morton Arboretum offers two paid, institutional summer internships to students who are interested in pursuing a career in a public garden or arboretum. We consider candidates with a strong academic background and hands-on work experience in horticulture. Qualifications for candidates include gardening or plant maintenance experience and enrollment in or completion of an A.A., B.S., or M.S. degree program in the Life Sciences area (Biology, Botany, Environmental Science, Forestry, Horticulture, or Life Science Ecology). The Arboretum regrets it is unable to accept international students at this time.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2012 Public Horticulture Internship Program. Interested candidates should forward a cover letter, internship application, resume, statement of purpose, and official transcript to: Colleen Emrick, Human Resources Coordinator, The Morton Arboretum, 4100 Illinois Route 53, Lisle, IL 60532-1293. Applications for the 2012 internships will be accepted until the positions have been filled.
