Looking for some suggestions from fellow buzzers. I got a request to check out a fungus on a chinese corktree in eastern PA in the Allentown area.
The white growth appears on some dead and living branches and some recovering tree wounds from previous cuts.
The tree is a feature of the home owners garden right off the patio. It was planted at the same time the garden was landscaped about 20 years ago. She says there was no recent changes to the landscaping. The tree is near and above a garden water feature.
I noticed no other major defects or signs of distress to the tree other than the white growth/coating on the branches.
