Never used a hydraulic tool, let alone a hydraulic saw scabbard.

Re: hydraulic pole saw scabbard *DELETED*

this post is going nowhere. the reason i ask is i just started
a new job and all the older guys use them. im not relly to fond of them and thought that the saw scabbard would be a good
way to store them when not in use.

Re: hydraulic pole saw scabbard *DELETED*

i use a hydraulic pole saw every day. I wish i had a boom mounted scabbard but i do not. When i have to put the saw down and use a handsaw , the hydraulic pole saw goes in the bucket with me and sticks up..very inconvenient and dangerous i always check to make sure the tool selector is off.

We have them on our booms as well, the only complaint the I have received is that you can have two tool in the scabbard (the don't make a double one) the crews like to carry the hydro stick saw and a pole pruner. They prefer not to have any thing standing up in the bucket with them so that it's easier to maneuver in tight areas and around limbs. No fun hitting an 8ft pruner when you're concentrating on the high voltage lines.
