Husky advice

So I was considering a stihl 262 or 61 or 026 as a larger than top handle in tree saw when I found a husky 545 on fb market brand new for about 350. Good comparable unit or is this a residential grade saw that should be avoided?

Homeowner Stihls are so much better than the Husq HO saws. Super heavy and all around meh ime. The echo 50cc pro saw has a solid following if you are looking for cheaper. 15% off sales are common with Echo too.

I used to as well. Then i loaned it out to *someone* and it walked out of my life. Been meaning to replace it for sometime.

So is this a HO saw? Been trying to find a list of the pro vs HO husky saws, but I haven't found jack. Is there an easy way to tell visually?

My next ~50cc is going to be a 550xp, I hear it’s a lovely little machine

I believe all the new pro models do end with xp, there are some old school ones with different designations.

I’ve not had the pleasure of running a husky saw but I think @rico uses them and loves them.

I love my 394xp. It is a tank of a saw, but there's nothing I have found that will stop it.

550xp is nice. The power : weight is perfect for climbing and not too big a drag on your belt. I prefer it to the MS260
