Hunt, fish, work, and live in Montana

I am a General Foreman for Asplundh in Central Montana. I am currently seeking dedicated professional Arborists. This company has year around work and this state has any outdoor activity one could desire. We have some of the best climbers and rigging artists the state has to offer. The pay is excellent and the benefits are just as good. I would like to hear from anybody with experience and dedication to working hard and playing in the mountains. Experience in the tree's is a must and special consideration to those with Line Clearance experience.

Are there real trees in Montana? I was told it is virtually impossible to get CEUs for the ISA Cert. Arborist unless you either go on-line or go out of state. Montana does not have a local chapter of the isa.

?????

There are some pretty good size tree's on the western side of Montana. On the eastern side the only large tree's are the cottonwoods. Yeah I know, Cottonwoods? But they are, 10 foot at the butt, 85 foot high, and 70 across. They are also known as Montana Sprawlers. There are big Pondo's, Larch, and Cedars on the West side.
Regarding CEU's, the rumors are true. It is tough to get them here. The ISA/RMC incompasses MT, but they have seem to let gas prices keep them stuck in CO. and WY.
MT. has 2 proctors that do organize an affair or two a year, but those affairs are limited to certification exams. Our climbing competitions came to a halt about 4 years ago when the ISA/RMC said they did not want to help organize it anymore and would like somebody else to take care of it entirely, but of course they still wanted their ISA/RMC logo's on it.
The ISA is a subject that I can rant about for hours. We'll save it for future conversation....

your welcome Frans.

I welcome any comments or questions about Montana Asplundh. I wanted to add, anybody that has ever entertained the idea of coming here to work and play. Asplundh is one of maybe three tree companies that stay busy year around. Otherwise the companies do snow removal and put up Christmas lights, not even full time. This company has great pay, over $20 an hr.plus full ride bennies. Give me a call, I will talk.

Alright folks, I have read through a lot of the job postings on this cool site and have to say. I am offering a great job that pays at the top in this state. I know after working in CA./OR./WA. and here that we are not the top. I left $25 an hr. 8 yeaqrs ago to live here and work for $15.00 an hr. I made a small sacrafice in pay for the ability to take a 7 mile drive and be completely away from people. I can literally drive 7 miles and see not one other person the rest of the day. The mountain lake is good fishin' and it's all mine. 12 to 20 inch brookies. All mine! I hunted 90 head of Elk this past season resulting in a 6x6 Bull with a bow. check out the pic! The greatest thing about all this is that I have a full time job, own a house , and live life. No traffic worries and no worries of looking at someone wrong and getting shot for it. This is the greatest place in the lower 48. I am still looking for quality help and could use some good Foreman with utility experience.!!!
Bring the young ones and raise them in a place that will give them a full, rich, childhood.

I was interested in one of the foreman jobs I have 6 years in line clearance experience. I live in Three Foks I live eat and sleep hunting. I have seen your trucks up here working the one ground man i saw working knows his stuff it looks like why isn't he a foreman? That bull you shot is a nice bull but i have passed on bigger ones.

Gimme a Break! That was my first Bow Bull. You hunt the archery season? That bull was taken in the Roots at 8500Ft. hunting alone with no one callin' but me. Fun stuff!

Anyway you have 6 years huh? who are you? I know a lot of people in T.F. Do you have a resume? Give me a call and we will chat about that Foreman slot your thinking you'd like.

My name is Jason. I just moved here from Idaho. I hunt all over this great nation, even the world. The biggest bull I have taken with my bow was 324 1/2 score.

Like I said before, I have 6 years in line clearence. I worked in Idaho and Minn. I have heard nothing but good things about Asplundh Tree. I'm ISA certified. I have all my own rigging gear (porter rap and so forth) I climb with the Spilt tail system. My saddle is the master 2. I'm willing to learn anything new in tree work. Give me a Call at (406)254-9360 Im visiting friends in Billings for awhile. I look foward to hearing from you.

That is quite an opinion about other tree care companies in Montana. You represent that providing snow removal services in the wintertime is somehow not worthy. In my opinion, I would much rather be in a piece of equipment or plow truck in my t-shirt controlling my own temperature than at the end of bucket truck at 30-50 below zero.

Our company provide excellent pay and full benefits as well.
