How do you adjust your lanyard?

This is in response to all of those people who said they use 3/8" rope for their lanyard. How do you adjust it? Do you use some super small cord and tie a friction hitch or do you use a mechanical device?

I have been using the 5000lb 5mm Maxim Tech Cord with my 10mm bee line lanyard for some time now. Works well for me if I stay away from sap. Are there any devices that will work with 8mm or 3/8" rope?

I use HRC cord as my hitch. Instead of a bulky pulley I use a snap, like on the end of a dog lease. Snap the snap to my d-ring (or biner) and put the rope through the little hole in the back.

I thought of doing this, but when I was checking out the snaps, they seemed just as heavy (some felt heavier) than my micropulley. So I stuck with my pulley. I attach my lanyard with a biner though.

No need for a heavy duty snap, it's judst advancing. Snap is probably half the weight of the MP.

Your right though, my difference is that I tie directly to the D, less jingle bells and less to go wrong.
