Help identifying what kind of boom I have

is everyone on this site here just to bash others not to help I asked the simple question what kind of boom is this all I get is a bunch of negative give up on life comments sorry you dont like that I believe in Jesus but you will not stop Him from coming back to clean this place up how I am trying to clean this truck thanks anyways for your “expert” advise

Nobody here has bashed you, nobody said you should give up on life, and nobody said anything about not liking that you believe in Jesus. You came here presumably looking for advice from people that may know more than you about what you have asked. You then made the claim that, essentially, the real world evidence that points toward that truck not being safe to use isn't relevant because the lord has tasked you to it. If you think being called out on that claim is bashing then you really need to develop a thicker skin.

All life support equipment has a service life. Claiming that the service life doesn't matter because faith, is silly and dangerous. Imagine saying you are going to use an old climbing line that someone gave you and it looks really old and you don't know what it went through. You then say- when someone points out that it should be trashed- that you are going to climb to new heights because the lord tasked you to it. Someone then points out the fallacy of your thinking and you accuse them of bashing you. That is what is happening here.

Imagine applying the same thinking to refusing essential medical care. No no , I don't need that surgery, faith will heal me. Good luck with that.

Take the truck to an Aerial lift manufacturer and see if they will safety it. Have faith in what they tell you when you do.

If you think you've been ridiculed, i apologize for us as a group...that is not the point of forums like this. That being said, there is a wealth of knowlege here, and many do have a clue as to what NOT to do and what to look out for...whether it to help out a seasoned vet or a new guy. You want to see ridicule? Check out the posts about the about the tapered hinge!!! For the record; i did actually mention the Lord in my first post.

I feel my workers comp Insurance rising. Lol.

Guys here are nudging you toward metal fatigue. But there are times that the good lord will have something to say to you. ie... shark bites. Lighting strikes. And sink holes swallowing you are some here in Florida. Lol.

Old bucket trucks may be your calling there. Good luck. Not me. Life safety means new.

LS7 - I thought about you a bit more while I was doing bids today. I can tell you with a warm feeling and a smile on my face that I don't have any personal attachment to your choices or whether you live or die. I like that about me. :)

So don't take this next thing as trying to convince you of something. It occured to me that guys that are concerned about you using the bucket truck and bothered to say anything A) Know far more about lift devices than you and I, and B) are actually being very empathetic and expressive. (Stereotypically not something associated with tree guys.)

Then it also occured to me that if you do happen to have an accident and die, you'll be all degected and talking to Jesus about what happened........and He will listen to your hurt and criticism. .....at some point saying, well there were the gaggle of guys who I softened the hearts of to warn you. :)
