helicopter removal

No crane access and the customer wanted zero impact on garden and stone steps ( the steps were made of old stone from a castle in germany) it would have taken weeks to rig it out and cut it into manageable pieces and the carry would have been a good 80 meters most of which were stairs . the customers were really happy with the operation as they could also use the heli to bring up some sand and stone for the landscapers .

So dope! May I ask what powerhead you were using and what length blade? I am still trying to find my perfect weight to power ratio, and that looked really nice, or maybe it was just your skills that made it look so?

What was the Heli's SWL? Seemed like a lot of dudes standing around. What was the total length of the job?

That was bad @$$!
haha a few of the lads finished early to have a look.
the total time for the job was one day with another half day loading, i spent the morning slinging the tree and getting everything ready and the flying time for the heli was just over an hour .
the weight, we were aiming for 900 , that was optimal weight but a few over and under .
The tree was very hard to gauge weight due to long limbs and with the heavy rain the days previously we worked it out to be just under 1000kg per cubic meter, so pretty heavy.

Nice... very cool. Funny how stihl has their bars marked differently...at least the one you had in the tree... the other ones looked the same as here. Interesting vid...not as windy as i would've thought. Nice work.

haha she was pretty windy , the bar is a new super light bar , it came with the saw and its half the weight of a normal 30 inch i reckon. the price I'm thinking was around 15 - 20 thousand euros roughly.

Ouch. I remember hearing that heli logging in the states was roughly 4k an hour....for the heli and pilot.....that was a long time ago though.
