I was reading a biography of Jed when I realized that I was the same age as when he died. I found the day that he died. That was a creepy day ...not that I thought I was Jedediah Smith reincarnate or anything hahahah!
It always amazes me that those guys roamed almost the entire western half of the country and knew it like we know our back yards. They could and would go anywhere without maps, only the knowledge they had gained by being there before or hearing someone else talk about it. Give Your Heart to the Hawks.
