The pay would depend on the experience and skills of the individual. I would not be setting the wage but the range is something like $18 to $25.

I dont know about now but in the early 90s rent in a studio apartment in that area ran like 1200 a month.
Is the cost of living still sky high up there?

It sure isn't cheap. I don't think rent has gone up much since then though.

i moved from the bay area (palo alto) a year and a half ago - rent is expensive. my guess would be 1 br apartment in Pacifica (Daly City, South SFO, Burlingame would run $1200+/month. great place to live, just expensive.

My daughter is going to SF State and lives in a two bedroom for $1,875/month.

Yes the rent is very expensive here. It can be a challenge to get your head around but there are ways you can make it work. There are reasons why the rent is so high, it is truly an amazing place to live.
