I am as well. I have a few friends with giant grapple trucks. They love them unless the jobs get urban. I'm deciding between over vs under CDL...for accessibility reasons. Most of the 50 yard box's I've seen in person don't dump but I know they exist.

This is a 50 yard dump. Thinking about buying it but wanted to get some feed back from guys first who might own one.

Few questions about debris trucks. I too am looking to build or buy a truck in the next year.
-What do you guys do with the debris? I'm in NH. Logs and chips are semi easily disposed off, but I know I would be charged for brush.
-Do you plan on feeding a chipper with this truck? With the clam style grapple and front mount I assume this would be difficult?
-Im leaning towards a rear mount 10wheeler with a tag axle so I can ship logs when we are slow or bad weather. Feeds chipper well for big job. Big trucks are sure expensive :/

How much WC can you save by not chipping? Fuel? Blades? A piece of metal going into the chipper? Keeping the brush clean around rocks and gravel?

No free lunch. Paying to dump brush sometimes makes lots of economic sense.

We have a 'city truck' single axle front mounted 25 yard truck and have ran it since 06. But being it needs replaced I'm thinking about getting a rear mount single axle with a large tag axle to help get a little larger box. like 35 yards (18'-7'-8')maybe. we don't won't something to big but do want it a touch bigger than we have now... also being a rear mount, more reach and can load another trailer for the large jobs. side effect is no dumping. but honesty we self unload ours like half the time so thats not a deciding factor.
