No harness attached to the bucket. When is OSHA going to say enough and get out there and enforce! spot check these guys!
This is what pushes our rates up. Sorry to sound so cold-blooded but it needs to be said.
We need to have a serious discussion within our industry, with our associations, with government agencies and insurers to drive a change in attitudes toward safety. What is the cost of that harness, the time it takes to put on, to clip in, getting accustomed to having in on compared to the cost of a workers life? What about the impact on his family? Will his boss be going to them to explain how he didn't ensure the safety of his employee? Why he condoned the ignoring of a simple regulation that would've kept him alive?
When will we get serious about working safe?
