I love mine.
I did recently had a feedwheel motors seal start leaking at around 400 hours. I bought my machine used with about 240 hours. It turns out it had long needle pine needles (likely ponderosa) wrapped around the motor shaft. I say had because the machine came from an area with those pines, and we dont have them here. Over time they may have overheated the seals.
I'm just advising to keep an eye on the area to the sides of the freewheels and clean it out to avoid buildup.
I did find heat damage on the dust seals(cracking), but I think the culprit was the spring on the inner shaft seal that was not in its grove, but floating behind it. A friend said it was likely dislodged during installation as its unlikely to be able to come out of its grove once the seal is loaded by the shaft.
Has anyone else had experience with a similar failure? Seal spring being dislodged?
I'll see if I took any pictures worth sharing...
