FRANKINSTORM help likely needed, Maryland.

Re: FRANKENSTORM help likely needed, Maryland.

I wish I could come tomorrow... Depending on how bad we get hit, we could be available Nov. 5,6,7, and possible the 12th-16th. After that we could do two weeks on two weeks off if you need the help longer. I will have a good feel by tomorrow night how much I can help out and will let you know ASAP.

My 3 man team's strong suit would be rigging. I have two GRCS' that we are very fast at using when the rigging points are available. I am a Certified Arborist and the other two men on my team are expert riggers, apprenticing to be arborists. We are a team; we can make a detailed plan and execute it with little to no wasted explanations.

I can bring a new Dodge 5500 with 10yd chip box, Vermeer 1800 with winch and our rope truck (cube van) pulling ventrac compact tractor with bucket, stump grinder, grapple.
You could throw us at anything but here is what we are best at, storm damaged rigging: I have added one more ground man since the video. http://extremetreecompany.com/about/

Re: FRANKENSTORM help likely needed, Maryland.

This is a message from David:
David will assess area damage in the morning, then get in touch with everyone that contacted him about work to be sure he doesn't waste anyone's time. Drove to his mom's house to help with generator and flooding basement at 9:15 pm. Three trees were down across the road in less then a mile of road. Will probably be very bad by the morning, but will know more facts tomorrow. There is no electrical power in patches of Harford County, including Davids area. Thank you!

Re: FRANKENSTORM help likely needed, Maryland.

Thanks for the info MattyD... hey will ya let X know that I call a room in his mother's house, closest to the kitchen will be fine. I'll work in the morning, then I'll video tape the rest of the day. I will need a couple days off for the EXPO. Thanks MattyD, my txt's/calls are not going through... stay safe as always guys.

Re: FRANKENSTORM help likely needed, Maryland.

Guys, it was frank-in-wimmpy. Kind of sucks to do all that prep and bought $2000 worth of new saws that I don't need. Many trees didn't have there leaves, was a big factor, but even then wasn't as strong as they kept saying it was going to be. Plus went by fast, by morning, no more wind.

In short, we don't need extra help. We will be busy, but can handle it. Was looking forward to working with many of you.

You might try other areas if they got hit hard, I don't know if any place had huge damage, sounds like water was the biggest problem.

...until next time........

All I got this morning from customets thus far, is an oak on a house, an ash on a shed (that we said needed cables) & three others with trees uprooted in yards.

Re: FRANKENSTORM help likely needed, Maryland.

If you wouldn't have prepped for it I'm sure it would have been much worse. That's the way it usually works. 2 years ago here in Ga. we had terrible (for Ga. at least) winter road conditions and the city struggled to handle it. The next year they had salt mounds everywhere around Atl and we had a very mild winter. I don't think any of the salt was used.

Re: FRANKENSTORM help likely needed, Maryland.

I hate to see salt waste away like that, what a shame. Yeah... last year, around here, we had such a weak winter. We kept waiting and waiting for something to hit, and nothing ever did. The year before on the other hand, snow, rain, wind, it was great! I'm hoping mother nature will roar this year, put us all in our place, like a boss.
