Thanks for questions! Other climbing trousers I use and used before are SIP Protection Progress climbing trousers. Compared to them these are more like slim fit as is the jacket. Although sizing chart for both models says I need M, ArbPro runs very precise, but SIP runs a bit larger than needed.
About the jacket - I would say it is waterproof to certain level. I have a grey one and it is quite some time, before water gets through. Of course if it is more like shower, it takes less. It was designed to be used in all seasons and has a foldable hood, so rain was in designers minds. Also the fabric Schoeller, if I am not mistaken, is the same Stihl uses or used for their chainsaw trousers, so I would assume they treat rain similarly.
