Excellent solution to a unexpected problem. Rather than head down you came up with a simple work around .

There might be other uses for this type of redundancy , I will store this in the old toolbox close to the top!

I kept noticing your rubber bungee "trap" idea on your biner holding the wirecore rope grab in place during your cedar topping video. Another great idea.
What length lanyard are you using with those big cedars?
I usually don't get a year out of my wirecore lanyard before the outer sheath is too torn up or picked.
