Favorite 24 strand climb line for SRT

Time for a new climb line and would like input on which one I should buy. I climb SRT 95 percent of the time but need a MRS capable rope. Currently on Scion, looking at Tachyon. Any suggestions?

Cougar and calamine are the best I've had. I have an edelrid 11.7 now that's not very good. Tendril was decent but got fuzzy. Imori is good.

Blue Moon and all its IVY/Focus/etc. variations pretty much sets the standard for double braid as a SRS/MRS. That said, Samson Hyperclimb is also good. I think just about any of the big brand name 24 strand double braids are good. My goto is Blue Moon, although I own lots of different ones. Blue Moon is the best selling double braid 24 strand in the U.S. That should tell you something. But then, a lot of people voted for Trump too.

I keep 5 climb lines on my truck, 3 of which are 24 strand. Of those I use Imori the most for SRS followed by Blue Moon and lastly Tachyon almost exclusively as MRS with the zigzag for crane removals.

Favorite rope for me has basically boiled down to color. I know that might sound strange or simplistic, but my climbing is much more relaxed when my climbing line has a strong peripheral presence. I want to be aware of where my rope is all the time even when I'm focusing on other tasks.

After color, knot holding ability and weight are strong determining factors. I have yet to find a rope that I couldn't get to work satisfactorily with either hitch or mechanicals. The percentage of elongation is the least important to me as it has little influence on my climbing.

I've been on marlow vega for a few months and I'm loving it. I'm a big fan of blue moon too.
Though it is not talk about much around here, Marlow Vega is simply one of the best ropes I have ever climbed on. Wesspur no longer sells the stuff. Otherwise, it would be one of my goto ropes.

Why do you prefer the tachyon for mrs only?
I've used it as an SRS rope as well, but it is quite stretchy. I am a heavier guy so that compounds the issue for me.

My main reason is I prefer mechanicals and I have my runner set up for imori and blue moon, unicinder works great with patriot, I'm liking xstatic with my akimbo and tachyon just interfaces well with the zigzag. I only use the zigzag in MRS and almost always on a crane job. All of my other climbing is SRS.

Keeping a dedicated rope with a device prevents having to make adjustments to the runner and Akimbo each time I use it.

As a basic rule for non-adjustable mechanicals, I prefer a smaller rope so that I can switch to a larger one once it begins to wear the device.

Been very interested in the All Gear's 11.8 poly/poly ropes, but never climbed on one..Would love to hear your thoughts..
My opinion would be to give one a try. In my opinion, they are not bouncy, they seem to hold up well at least for me personally in SRT or DdRT, and they work well for me with both a hitch and the zigzag.

I’ve never felt like I had a flattening issue, or any other problems with them and I’ve been using that rope almost exclusively for probably close to ten years.
