@evo The tire trick is simple and effective if you have a spare tire to possibly waste onsite , wrapping the chain or a static line around with some slack so the tire compresses in the strap and stretches as you pull and catches then pulls without the shock being applied to other parts as much.. i guess you could use to seperate straps with tire in center i suppose just never did it that way..this is the same theory as to why they came up with Bubba ropes and all these other very stretchy snatch and recovery ropes.. I thought for deadeye sling with block on end they would be great for negative rigging certain situations and even made a thread about it sometime ago I think. I used to dump chips in a spot that was close, free and convenient except was prone to getting stuck with 20 year or more of chips breaking down..
