Been here much more than a while
Location
SF Bay Area, CA
Free workshop put on by TCIA (grant funded.) Hosted at the local Electricians Union. One union representative told me they plan to have more trainings there. Might want to get put on the email list even if you don't choose to make this training.

If someone can pull a flyer over from the TCIA website I would appreciate it. Or contact instructor Dan Kallai at ( kallai-1@hotmail.com )

I went to one last month and wondered what is so good about these seminars. The guy kept saying the bottom line is "don't touch em". Stay 10 feet away and your ok...bottom line. Pretty much 8 hours of that.

One thing I learned from old electric guy was if you are going to touch a line to see if it is hot...use the back of your hand so you don't lock onto it.

I guess if you are a total newby to the bus. then, like the crane school, you should learn something. Last one I attended maybe 20 years ago they had the old electrocute a hot dog trick. Didn't do that one here.

Sorry for your disappointing experience treevet. I guess there would have to be a variety in classes just like any other service.

I would recommend this course to anyone. Free training ($135? value), 7 or 8 CEUs, free lunch, and as a side bonus he would tell you how to stay out of the Awakenings Thread. (Don't touch the back of your hand to a suspected hot line. :) )
