Anybody use the new echo top handle yet? DCS 3500 T

Looks like its their battery powered removal saw where the 2500T is more for pruning.

Just over 1 pound heavier than the 2500T.

Looks interesting.

Love the 2500....in the summer. The batteries work for shit when it's below 40degrees or so. We have them charged and inside overnight, then turn on the saw and the battery just blinks like it's dead. Same for 3 batteries. The blower seems to not have the same override but super annoying as it's a lovely saw

I’ve noticed that too. But I still love the little saw. My Makita’s are unaffected by the cold.

Have you had problems with Makita batteries taking charge? I've had 2 now that quit taking a charge, well before expected battery life. I don't know how many hours were on them, but fewer than other batteries. Sometimes they won't connect to the charger correctly. I've also replaced the charger sooner than it should need replaced. With another battery not charging, is it really bad, or is it just not connecting to the charger? Is that a battery problem or a charger problem? I like the little saw - especially with the narrow point bar. But I'm about ready to give up on it because the batteries are letting me down.

Back on topic...hopefully the Echo batteries perform better! Milwaukee do...but they do drain a little quicker in the cold and the hottest hot days.

I haven’t had any problems with the Makita batteries…..yet. I have eight of them and I rotate them which I think helps.

It must be a saw side issue as the blower works fine in the cold and batteries have decent charge (always kept inside when not at work)

I've had the same experience. Even throwing the batteries in the cab it's a little iffy. At least the blower works...
