At least him/her tore up their own stuff and not yours lol
That dog looks so mischievous.....got some red nose in him/her. Dog going to be bare sport.
Now that is funny chit. Bless Hanna. My Bernese Mountain Dog plays a game with the local critters every day. She will go out into the woods and steal whatever the foxes and the wolves have in the way of kills. Yesterday she brought back a snowshoe hare that a fox had just killed as Hanna scared it off, and a deer hind quarter from a wolf kill. She spent the day guarding her prizes as the red fox circled around plotting an assault.
Unfortunately for me, Hanna woke me up about once an hour last night so she could go out and check on her stash.
But come early morning the red fox made her assault and took back her rabbit. She then came back and tried to take the 20 pound deer leg, but only managed to drag it down the driveway about 50 feet.
I suspect the wolves will be in tonight to retake possession. Then the game will start all over again.
My dog has no interest in eating any of this stuff. It is the thrill of stealing it from others that makes it fun for her. Purely a game. Comes home sometimes with the neighbor's boot or slipper as well. Stolen items include: a garden trowel; a turkey baster; a transistor radio; various hats; gloves and mittens; and an instruction book for a Ditch Witch trencher.

Dog lifeI wish that were true but she also ate my couch and a few pairs of my shoes, a few pillows and a couple of rugs
Lol yep, she's trouble. Dad was blue and mom red.
What's a bare sport? Some UK slang?
Let me tell you.Would the wolves contemplate attacking the dog? I know the Bernese is big, but wolves prey on elk.
Whats the dynamic there?
Thank you, fascinating. Sorry about the Labs btw.Let me tell you.
The wolves won't bother the dog unless the dog goes after the wolves. Then they will defend themselves against the dog.
Case in point. I had two labs that loved everybody and everything. One winter night they wanted to go outside so I opened the door and let them out. I then heard the wolves howl out on the frozen lake where they like to take down deer that sleep out there so they can see other animals coming. As soon as I heard the wolves howl I tried to get my dogs back in as I knew they would be racing to go play with the other dogs on the lake. Too late, they were over the bluff and going full speed toward the pack of wolves. By the time I got down the hill the pack was moving off the lake and I could see my two labs out on the ice. One was dead and the other was still alive but with a broken neck. I had to go back up the bluff to the house and get a gun to put the one out of its misery. Labs wanted to play, but the wolves took it as an attack. I was crushed but didn't hold it against the wolves.
But for a wolf to come into the yard and attack my dog, not very likely. First, they want to stay away from people and dogs. Second, there are so many f%&king deer around here (thank you DNR (does nothing right)) that they are not lacking for food. They will come in at night and take back what my dog has stolen from them, but that's about it.
And my Bernise... She hasn't met up with the wolves as of yet. She has heard them howling but pays zero attention.
Bare sport, is slang for exciting and funny. Like my new mixed breed terriers. Whenever I look outside those two are frollicking and having the time of their life .....only one other in my pack has that spirit .....albeit another terrier mix.I wish that were true but she also ate my couch and a few pairs of my shoes, a few pillows and a couple of rugs

I have a black lab. What a dumb animal....bless her. I got her at 2 and tried my best to put some sense into that concrete head. But the lightbulb was blown by the time she found me. Now It is food and water, a petting from the wife and my youngest daughter. I cannot stomach a dumb dog. I am just not built like that. She will live happily with us til the day she moves on. She sure does love food though, and shits like an elephant. I prefer compact dogs like pits and terriers. Not into goofy breeds that are typically lazy. I live near the sea, across the road first four years I had her, she was not even keen with the water. Would make a terrible gun dog for hunting......Let me tell you.

Labs are not known for being very bright. "We are going to the zoo today. Yep, yep, yep, ah hah." I've had three in my lifetime. Loved them dearly, but time came that I wanted a smarter dog. Eagle came in and stole my fish. Think my dog would bark or something... Not!

Courtesy of my wife. I was trying to fight the fish.Holy cow Great pic
Not that big, maybe 24-26 inches.About how long was that fish? The eagle makes it look small but I know they are big birds, we rarely see them here. No, I should say: occasionally we see them here. They’re not all that rare but it’s still cause for excitement when I do see one.
No, it is a northern pike. Those eagles haul 3-4 a day (that I see) out and up to their nest.Is that a Muskie ? I have been ice fishing with my cousins. Winter has to be hard on the eagles.
