dog bone in hitch

Has anyone ever played with creating a dog bone type insert for their hitch?
The idea is to go from working one a moving rope system, to choking a stem to repel on a stationary rope, using the same climbing system (a hitch climber / micro pulley and prussic).

Pretty well but needs some fine tuning. And hands who knows how to work with metal, unlike mine. I swapped out the tesr drop for one of my old top arms. I cut it short and put another hole in it, so it's a big more snug for the attachment. I think if there was a way to pull back on it more it may help. I'm in a mental rabbit hole playing with it

Why not just clip on a Rope Wrench?

A munter is also easy way to add friction, and you likely have a spare carabiner on your saddle already.

This is true, and a return to 13-14 years ago with the F8-revolver descent-only world.

i sometimes choke of with a running bowline, and with the tail tie a munter and clip that munter into the carabiner (clipped into the splice of the climbline) this ads friction so you can rapel with just a knot and is retrievabel (spar work)
