DO NOT REMOVE tag on friction saver came off

Does anyone know if anything bad happens if the DO NOT REMOVE THIS TAG comes off when retrieving a friction saver?

Does it fall apart? should i retire it? or is it just a tag and i shouldn't worry about it?

If the stitching of the friction saver is intact, it should be safe to use. Mine also tore off.
