Contract Climbing questions

Hello all! Hoping some of you more seasoned guys could point me in the right direction, I'm thinking about starting up my own business and would like the option of doing some contract climbing for other companies along the way, how does the General Liability and Workers Comp Insurance work in this case? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

On a serious note, you WILL need/want liability and workers comp will depend on your states laws. There are a ton of threads on this topic so use the search tool and youll get some generous info. Cheers!

Seriously, use word of mouth to find yourself a good agent who knows our industry and they'll be able to give you the best answer.

I do not think you need workers comp for yourself, just get insured as a sub, liability , you should be good to go.

I'm finding that for larger companies, their ow. insurance requires that any subs are covered by workers comp. Interesting.
