Competition preparation? Just ask me...!

Hey ho, two weeks before the ETCC I had a half inch splinter of Ivy removed from my thumb today. It spent the last month jammed between the two nerve strands running up the side and the middle of the thumb. I.. well, I guess I hoped it'd pop out by it's own accord...

More fool me. The surgeon said: "Keep you hand quiet for ten days.", and I said: "Are you sh**ing me?!" Aaaargh. Not your classic run-up to a big comp!

So, I'm going to be very Zen. I'm going to visualise footlocking, visualize workclimb, visualise... well, you get the picture.

The lesson? Ivy is not good stuff to insert into you thumb.

Yes, that's right Steve, rub it in... now I feel really good. You saying I'm a chump?!

Well hold on, you might have a point there, come to think of it... I'd never heard of it before either.

A bit like getting a splinter from a... fern, maybe?

Could we be seeing some black rubberized Treemagineers super-gloves in the near future?

Those would look really cool with my TreeMotion.

Heal fast...you could still competer unless the Doc is there for gear check.
